Michael,

For non-fiction it can range average between 225 to 325 words per page for a regular paperback.

Depends on if it has sub-headings with extra spacing and images.

So let's say your ebook is straight text no pictures taking the higher figure of 325 words per page and multiplying it times 50, you would have an ebook with 16,250 words.

The key to remember, you're writing an ebook seen on different size screens.

But the most important part of writing any non-fiction ebook, it's not the words but how does your ebook help the reader?

If everything you say is helping, then your reader won't care if it's 20, 30 or more pages. They'll gladly buy your ebook and any more that you write.

Hope this helps,

Judith,
Now that I'm without a job, again, I have been able to devote more time to writing. I see your statement about writing the non-fiction ebook and making it 25 to 50 pages, and have a question. In order for me to conceptualize 25 to 50 pages, about how many words are you talking about for 50 pages?
I've been working on a blog to get me into the mindset for writing and they suggest 500 to 1000 words per blog to retain the readers attention and still impart some knowledge. That I can deal with, but not sure how many words per page on the ebook.
Can you shed some light on that?
Thanks,
Mike

Dear Dennis,
Understandably, you want the most recent to move forward. Let me suggest you purchase the lifetime membership. It is only a few dollars, really just a few, more. Then you can have the course now and if and when she updates, you will get that one, and oh, yeah, you might like self-publishing so much, you pick up other products she has on her site.
I have done just that. It is the best money I have ever spent and her guidance and direction is priceless.
Jump in, you're going to love it. Got my first book on Kindle and getting ready to launch on Nook. Just getting started creating a new life thanks to Judith!
Good luck to you.

An ePUB is a container file which has all your book's files in it so all e-Readers except the Kindle will display it properly.

Wonderful. Will try it, as this is very timely for the book I'm currently converting (full of drop caps at the beginning of each chapter...as well as pictures and text runarounds - help!).
Thank you!

Dennis,

The Kindle eBook Course is not being revised.

Where the confusion might be is - I'm working on my new ePUB ebook course which is what the Nook and other eReaders require.

Since Amazon's software is on 6 plus eReaders, my Kindle eBook Course will definitely show you how to format your ebook correctly before uploading it to their Digital Text Platform.

Frankly, as an Author, you should self publish your ebooks on as many sites as you can. You'll really love it when the royalty checks come every month.
